Jane Gladstein

Jane Gladstein, the President of Gladstein Development Group, has been engaged in the real estate industry for more than four decades.


Gladstein Development Group has most recently served as an advisor to several large private lenders and equity investors. Jane’s role has been to serve as fee developer, and to analyze, manage and improve or stabilize assets that have failed to perform in accordance with the mutual understandings between investors/lenders and their borrowers. Where we are not fulfilling the fee development role, we generally assist the development and/or asset management teams in their daily administration of the assets in question. Current assignments involve assets valued at more than $3 billion.


Prior to forming Gladstein Development Group, Jane was the principal of Metropolitan Housing Partners, LLC responsible for the conception, vision and day-to-day administration of the firm's development activities. With a variety of institutional partners, MHP developed more than 1,100 units in projects valued at more than $1 billion. New York projects include Soho 25, The Sycamore, 505 Greenwich and 255 Hudson.


Previously, Jane led an eponymous firm where she focused exclusively on residential and retail properties throughout North America. She provided development consulting, asset management, owner's representation, marketing consulting and/or sales services for more than seven billion dollars of residential property.


Jane formerly served as a Vice President and Director of the Residential Asset Management Group - North America for Citicorp Real Estate, where she also created and led the in-house marketing consultancy for the United States based asset management teams working on multifamily, retail, hotel and office properties. While at Citicorp, she led a team of asset managers and financial support teams to create and implement real estate loan workout and restructuring strategies, which encompassed comprehensive analysis and realty recovery programs including operational and disposition analysis. Her teams implemented these strategies by managing all new product and design development, construction management, property management, marketing and sales for a portfolio valued at several billion dollars.


Prior to joining Citicorp, Jane managed the Development Consulting Group of MJ Raynes Incorporated, where she led a team of fifty product development, marketing and sales professionals who provided strategic consulting services for a varied portfolio of newly created and converting condominium, multi-family, townhouse and single family housing valued at over one billion dollars. She previously served as a Sales Manager and then a Senior Project Manager for The Marketing Directors, a New York based real estate marketing and sales firm.


Jane studied sociology at The City University of New York and holds a Certificate in Real Estate Studies from The Real Estate Institute at New York University. She has been honored as Developer of the Year by The Associated Builders and Owners of New York, and was the recipient of their Emma Lazarus Award, for her contributions to the real estate industry. Jane holds Registered Apartment Manager and Institute of Residential Marketing designations from the National Association of Home Builders and was a founding Governor/Director on the New York based boards of these organizations on behalf of NAHB. She served as a two-term chairperson of the Sales and Marketing Council of the NAHB in New York. Jane is a member of WX, New York Women Executives in Real Estate, was a founding member and served for five years on the Board of Directors of The Association of Real Estate Women, and has served on the Housing Committee of The Real Estate Board of New York, where she is currently a member.
